Super tool's plier head very stiff

Hi guys. I got today my 1st ST300 and the plier head is too much stiff IMHO. With the tool opened if I try to open the plier's Jaws the handle close itself! I  oiled it a lot and also I tried to heat up the plier head to 500C with an industrial blower but nothing. Is still very stiff. I cut some washer with the cutter but the situation is the same.  any ideas?
I have nothing against corkscrew, i'm Italian!!

I tightened a bit the handles with 2 pairs of cobras without damaging the bolt. now is much more better. The plier head is still very stiff and I think it needs time to loose a bit but I think this is the result we got after leatherman has started to have less tolerance for the pivot after hundreds of warranty claims....... I didn't want to send   it back cause of boring procedure and also cause I don't know how much time it need to go from Italy to Oregon and back. I never had problems with QC but this time happened also to me

Congrats on the st300! I had a Surge (same plier head) with the plier head too tight. Took about three weeks of regular use to start loosening.

On the upside,  being too tight when you buy it means it will last a long time when it gets to be easier to use. :)

Yes congrats on acquiring an ST300!  I've been carrying one to work everyday for years now and it sees constant use.  Both of the ones I've had started out stiff but broke in with use and got to be buttery smooth.  If I could keep only one multitool it would be the ST300.  Enjoy!
