And it would be a shame that the talent and /or time you've spent getting better just go unusedWhen I was in my mid-20s, I did some small press comic stuff. Mostly, I worked as the colorist. I got good enough that I was invited to Wildstorm studios (part of Image Comics) for a try-out as a colorist. This was about 8 months before the entire industry essentially collapsed.So... Some years later, after the collapse of the IT industry in about 2001, i went about teaching myself 3d modelling, and eventually got an internship at a video game company, building and texturing 3d models for a MMO videogame. I wasn't hired after 6 months of basically giving them free work. Then after about 6 years more work on my own, I got a 2-week gig doing starship renders, and deck plans for a supplement to the 'Serenity' role playing game called 'Six-shooters and Spaceships'. That work looked like this...(Image removed from quote.)It was based on models I'd painstakingly made over the course of YEARS as a fan. Untold countless hours of research to be as close to screen-accurate as possible. But, if you guys go out and look, you might find copies of that book still for sale. My name's right on it as co-author and everything. I'm sure there's a way to make something even slightly close to minimum wage doing art. I know people do it. I know there are people who have managed to make a good living doing it. Me? No matter how hard I try, it hasn't earned me jack squat, for MASSIVE hours spent trying to break into the industry. Same with writing. Not that I'm bitter or anything.
Actually Lynn there are other styles of comics where your drawing style would be amazing. And it would be a shame that the talent and /or time you've spent getting better just go unused
