Can Electrician springs be changed?

I find the springs too strong on the Alox Electrician model.  Can new springs be installed that would offer easier opening and closing?  Thank you kindly, Bryan

You could grind the end of the springs to change the force needed - or you could modify the tang of the blade to make it a lighter pull.
