Excellent idea for a thread Nick...
Quote from: jaya_man on February 26, 2018, 01:58:03 AMExcellent idea for a thread Nick...Yes, excellent idea! The european market looks different than the us market - the different values will be very interesting.I travel to Solingen next month and i will visit the boker store. I also meet a multitool collector who is specialized in SOG-tools. Maybe we will trade some tools and i get my second SOG-tool. But i'm not familiar with the value (the german market for SOG tools is not that big). What's the value of:- ToolClip version 1 (first model)- ToolClip version 2 (later model)- CrossCut (original scissor grind)- CrossCut (new scissor grind)Thank you!
That Golfer looks great. It has a couple of features that make it pretty valuable, like the 84mm scissors of course.

Would we need to consider what was paid vs current market value to find this "value"? Nice Golfer btw
the value/cost/price will depend on whether you are buying or selling....ebay sols listings gives a good indication
I have a Kershaw A100 in wonderful condition with original sheath. I've seen some high prices on these and they seem to be holding at high prices. https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,61812.msg1147443.html#msg1147443

I noticed it in a display cabinet and thought it looked interesting, but I wanted to do some research on it first instead of just buying it without really knowing if it was something good/special or not ...Don't know what they're asking for it, but since it's "old stock" I guess it will be normal selling price (worst case), maybe less because they don't seem to get rid of it .Should I go for this one Aloha ?
Yes buy the A100. Its a really nice tool albeit I don't use mine. ThePeace uses his and seems to really like it. I've seen them go for rather high prices on fleabay. Just a quick look shows recent sales of $75-$100+ US. Its one for the collection for sure.

So me and me Granddad went to a regular local car boot sale. Loads of people because the weather is heating up and you know... Spring cleaning. The rest, as they say, is history. Pre-2004 Climber. Excellent condition. Its just that its a bit dirty. (Dating help wanted!2.4mm tang)More pics when I clean it. (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)Side by side with my Hiker. (Image removed from quote.)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RUAGProbably from between 1998 and 2004, since 1998 is when RUAG was founded?Very pleased. Cost 3 Euro. That's about $4 or £2.
How much is this advertisement climber? €15? Less, more?Quote from: Pablo O'Brien on June 14, 2015, 01:50:28 PMSo me and me Granddad went to a regular local car boot sale. I'll pay €3 for such a SAK any day.Value? €15 theoreticaly yes.Depends on how many are offered in your area and at what price they sell new.I know a seller closeby who sells SAKs like that (Climbers, Huntsman...s, ...) for prices like that.He barely sells any. Why?He's asking €15 for a Climber, which is found online for 22-25.And I think that he'll sell them by the dozen at €10.
Well CeHo,This thread never lifted off the way I hoped it to.I hope you'll get an answer soon, but honestly, I doubt it.
