wenger porsche design p 3700 (all black NIB) = 400-450 Euro?

Al mar sf 10 Knife NIB = 500 Euro?

Al mar Grunt (l or II) Knife NIB = 350-400Euro?

victorinox classic limited edition 2010 (all 10 knives together) NIB = 300-350 Euro?

victorinox classic limited edition 2011 (all 10 knives together) NIB = 300-350 Euro?

Leatherman Limited-Edition Damascus Wave (NIB) = 350-400 Euro?

Spyderco c27 jess horn (NIB) = 350-400 Euro?

@ mech: what do you think the prices are too high or too low?

I have no idea.

They're way to high for my wallet, but given the fact that rare SAKs (that were cheap to buy) go for premium prices, it's not surprising that limited/rare folding knives that sold at a premium price to begin with, fetch much more.

Stick 'em on ebay with plenty of good photos, a clear description and no reserve.  Then you'll work out exactly what they're worth. :P

How much is a modded SAK worth? (one made by me)
Is it possible for it to reach 50 cents?

I'd be interested to see evidence that the Black Porsche is valued at €450-500!

I honestly don't think it would fetch anything like that, but kudos to you if it did

But I wouldn't pay that and I'm actually looking for one

I keep seeing the same Wengers listed on eBay at vastly higher prices, yet they are just not selling!!
Agree, occasionally a fool will come along and buy, but by and large buyers are too savvy these days.

Hey tosh - thank you for your reply. I’ll send you a screenshot the next days that proofs a price of 430 Euro. A talked to an extrem collector - he had two of them. The first one was sold for 460 Euro and the second one was sold for 480 Euro.

This is actually an interesting question. Is the value of an interesting modded tool more or less than the original? For example I modded my Charge AL with dual bit tools and SAK scissors. I have all the original parts as well of course. Is it worth more or less than it's standard counterpart on the 2nd hand market (EDC forums, etc) or would it be better solution to convert it back to original spec to maximise sale price? Not thinking of selling it, it's a daily used EDC, just wondering.

Hey CeHo

No need for the screenshots, I believe you.
But jeez, there's no way I would ever pay that. The prices of Wengers now are becoming ridiculous. I admit I did predict prices would rise, but in all seriousness there has got to be a limit and I do think current prices may be very near it.

On the topic of mods....
If anything I think it devalues the tool unless the work was carried out by either the manufacturer or some master cutler whose work is widely respected.

Ok tosh! If you need the screenshot in the future —> contact me. I have a huge source of screenshots for the price trend...

You’re right. The wenger prices are crazy.   It costs me a lot of work to get a Wenger in my budgetrange...

Here in Germany was (and still is) a run on the most wengermodels - especially the uncommon knives and the ranger models. I don’t think that the prices will rise more and more - we are close to the limit...
