Brass Pipe Fittings - Lights
on: February 25, 2018, 08:35:46 PM
Here's some lights I made from various brass plumbing and electrical fittings I thought you might like.

CRX KnuckleHead I
Powered by a 14250 cell with XP-G2 1A emitter on an integrated PCB.
Three modes, always starts on low, this is a tail twisty mule light.
The tail has a magnetic momentary switch, it works as a normal twisty light but has the optional setting of automatically activating when stuck to a ferrous surface, switches off again when removed or placed on wood etc and can also be locked out to prevent this  8)
High – 252 lm
Med – 50 lm
Low – 2 lm
Length – 36mm
Width – 24mm
Weight – 88 grams (with cell)

.
.

CRX BumbleBee
This light is made from electricians parts as opposed to plumbers, powered by a 16340 cell with Nichia 219c D320 5000k emitter on a noctigon MCPCB and has a single mode restricted to 1A via resistor.
Length – 43mm
Width – 21mm
Weight – 57 grams (with cell)
Max – 310 lm

.
.

CRX Knucklehead II
Powered by an MBI Nuke 10250 cell, single mode.
I have oxidized the brass for a different look this time.
Length – 37mm
Width – 19mm
Weight – 69g (with cell)
Max around 300lm

2 x long reach 20mm male bushes 2 x female bushes, an olive and some milliput?
Easy job!  :D

Probably take me just about a million years to make that
I love these things, so cool!

What do you use to oxidize the brass CRX? ammonia?

those are really neat
