Ziptie badge
on: February 27, 2018, 07:33:28 PM
I'd like to make an attempt at the ziptie badge:

Got to check off a small task from the To Do list that, er... upper management left me before she left for work this morning. Our trash can lid had cracked and split, and rather than replace it, I'd much rather fix it. Before going back to school, I spent a number of years as a VW/Audi technician, and have used this "technique" to repair cracked underbody plastics when customers didn't want to spend the ludicrous amounts of money to replace them.

The awl on the surge reamed out holes, through which I threaded zipties (with the square end on the inside). Snipped the long ends off with the scissors. This should hold until the next time a neighbor runs it over.  ::)
