Although I think you can't use "decent combo" and "zero redundancy" in the same sentence...

Zero redundancy? Both the Jetsetter and Sportsman/Cadet have bottle openers. ;)

Ignoring that redundancy, perhaps Style PS + 1961 Soldier or Spartan.

Mini Pabsman and Rambler
 :like:
Add a Pioneer for even more awesomeness without duplication (unless you count the blade on the Rambler and the bottle opener on the Rambler screwdriver)
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

The Soldatenmesser combines well with the MiniChamp. Big and small Philips, serrated and non serrated blades. You can push cuticles, cut oranges, snip things that need snipping till the cows come home.

Can't open a bloody bottle o' wine though... so an OH Forester would be even better.

(The weather is weird and the camera in my phone always gets the colour temperature wrong - but you know what they look like anyway)

I like that combo Thunderpants. Maybe a cellidor Minichamp so you have the scale tools.
Well, toothpick ór tweezers of course.

Nice... or a one hand Forester with regular cellidor scales and a Midnite Minichamp.

Kinda like what My EDC will be (the Style is on the way), but I will use a Nomad. The only redundancy will be the Tweezers. I put some thought on the EDC, trying to balance functions VS space, and I think it's one of the best choices without spending a lot of money.

I also considered doing a Vic Atlas + a Style CS...

The one I've often thought about is the Tinker Deluxe (which I don't have) and a Locksmith.
Though you could just get a Workchamp instead...

Locksmith + Style PS/CS is a good one.  Workchamp is too fat.

Although the problem with supplementing a SAK with a Style PS is that the PS scissors are just nowhere near as good as any Victorinox (except maybe the Delemont ones...)

I guess it depends on what you mean by zero redundancy? It hard if only one of the tools can have a blade as there aren't many bladeless options out there.

My vote if blade redundancy is allowed is my edc combo for ~5 years: pioneer and alox classic.
If the trees blew down the wind and no one was around, would the alphabet song really go backwards?

Plain and serrated are OK :)

Absolute zero, Pioneer (or Farmer) and Jetsetter 2, the JS3 has a caplifter.  :salute:

Technically, they all have a flat head screwdriver (well, JS3 doesn't).

What's wrong with a little redundancy?  You've got several redundant parts: two kidneys, several lobes of your liver, two eyes, ten fingers (I hope), etc. A little redundancy is a good thing  ;) I like having some backup parts/tools for me and my SAKs.

Well, the small combo tool's main feature (for me) is the small philips, it's a pretty rubbish bottle opener.

So in terms of principle purpose purpose of each tool, I'm claiming zero redundancy.

My thread, my rules.  :pok:

The redundancy of blades throws me off.   My Executive and Squirt P4 .  Theres a total of 3 blades tho.  2 files but very different IMO but then theres the bottle openers  :-\.  Ah well, not so much then.

Technically the Pioneers have 2 to begin with. The PST has 3!  :ahhh
