How's this for a spread?

And, yes, I need to do some cleaning out...  (This is an accumulation of stuff I've jammed in my various carry-cases, in the car, etc.)  And this isn't everything...

I have to have something to amuse me when I'm on the road!   :D

Brand new Leatheman E33L.  I've been very, very impressed with it thus far.

Better made than the all plastic ones?

Much better made.  Phosphor bronze bushings instead of nylon.  Zero blade play in the lockup.  Opens smoother.  Better steel (obviously).  The blade launcher thingy takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you do it opens quickly and with very nice balance.

I'd actually prefer the full FRN handles, though.  This one has FRN handles with steel scales on the back half of the knife - it increases the weight without really doing much for the strength or the utility of the knife (unless you want to whack someone on the head with it in self defense as a non-lethal impact point).  It's a pretty substantial weight difference as well - 22 grams (about .6 ounces) for the same blade size.

Yeah I thought it was strange that they put the metal on the back. C33x is only $15 at MEC thou so you can always get one and switch scale.

Boker is on a roll! So many cool new designs this year, Ti subcom, Exskelibur, haddock, Rhino, Valkyrie etc...

Quality on the Exskelibur is impeccable, I'd put it right up there with my best finished spydercos three times the price, sure blow the "Chinese junk" stereotype right out of the water.

3.5" of 440C blade, single anodized Ti liner, matching anodized Ti clip, contoured G10 handle.

i have other folders but this kershaw skyline has become my favorite. 3" blade and VERY light. holds a good edge too.

i spent a good bit of time giving it a workout saturday and it developed a slight side to side play which was easily cured. no up and down play whatever.

I get them from either edcdepot.com, or caledon2 (who's really S&R knives in toronto) on ebay. The latter has 10% off pretty much all the time, so if by chance you catch them without wait a day or two.

I've bought some things from Caledon2 before.  Speedy service and nice items!

It's an OHO, notice the protruded tang with jimping, that's the opener similar to a flipper.
