Oooh. I'm in a Gerber frame of mind these last few days...... I saw Gator on the sheath there, but I know nothing about Gerber knives. I only have a little Gerber knife that came as part of a gift set with a Suspension. I do quite like it actually.

I don't have many folders, but I'll do a pic whilst I'm waiting for some varnish to dry :D

Brb.
I used to come here a lot.

It's a Meadowlark. It made a rare outing fo rthis pic, as I'm trying to rais ethe guy I bought it from. The picture was a plain blade and SS handles. That one, as you can see, is partially serrated and black something or other.

Nice knife though. I'm tempted to use it, but knowing my luck I'd render it un-returnable  :P

Yesterday, I got a BM 960 (Osborne)! This is now one of my favorite folders! The only thing I am worried about is the D2 steel.. I heard it was extremely brittle..  :-\

There's a PE version but never one for sale, it's always the serrated or combo that comes up.  The titanium version is $$$ but stainless is not as much, but I don't like SS handle. :-\

Does it say what type of D2? I want a D2 grip but prefer to have CPM D2.

What's the shiny one above the Sebenza? Is it a Spyderco?

It is yes, a Pride.  They come with a silver, almost white bead blasted finish which I have removed as it was looking tatty.  It's actually a sub 3" slippy as well.  :)

I don't have any "quality" folders. About the closest I have are the 2 for the price of 1 Byrd knives I picked up earlier in the month. But in all honesty, they're good enough for my occasional use. I've found that I can't put the Meadowlark Rescue Blade down, it just feels "nice".

I wouldn't mind picking up a quality folder sometime, but probably only if there;s a bargain or such, or a gift :D

The problem with knives is that apart from being highly addictive (which I'm finding out  ::) ) is that they can cost so much and you can easily spend silly money on them.  If I was to buy all the above new at UK prices that would be close to £1k.  That's a ruddy lot for a handful of folders.  :o

No kidding, just ask this guy with spikey hair how much he spent on his sebenza along, probably more than all my folders put together.

Nice collection Benner,  the blade on that CS Med. Voyager Tanto ( that's a mouthful ) looks well used.  The secoondary point looks to have completely worn away from repeated sharpenings,  or did you remove it purposely?.   I love that knive, I've edc mine for more than 10 years now.

That was once Mike's and probably looks like that because of his dodgy sharpening.  :P

Bugger off, at least I can sharpen without the aid of a Sharpmaker :P

The secondary point is/was still there, but it did recieve a lot of sharpenings, as I used to cut through dozen's and dozen's of carboard boxes with it daily :)
