Thanks Syem, the Wenger display was on Ricardo? i saw one similar there a while back, i didn't bid..it's hard enough to find someone willing to post me a knife let alone a thing that size, good score  :like:
It was indeed on Ricardo and I was about to cross the whole of Switzerland to go get it (8 hours for the round trip). Thankfully my mom had to drive to Germany and was able to get it for me with a tiny detour. Paid a reasonable price for it too.

If you have a few auctions on Ricardo you wanna get you can have them delivered to me and I can make a box for you.

I have two issues with buying stuff from there, rarely do sellers accept paypal and rarely do they ship outside Switzerland..i have been lucky a couple of times though, it just means if you are interested in anything you have to ask, only a few sellers will state on the sale page no shipping abroad, unfortunately my German is as bad as my French but thankfully they know roughly what i'm asking  :D, i know most if not all will speak English but i prefer to talk in their language, common courtesy i guess. I can pay by IBAN but that's an extra £10 for my banks pocket that i grudge so i only use that if i really really want the item.
Look on the bright side though, its all the more goodies for you and i'm learning a bit of German
So thank's for the offer, i may take you up on it sometime..there's a lot of nice things on that site  :salute:

I have the same issues with Ricardo. I think I bought maybe five or six items there but most of them turned out very expensive because of all the IBAN/BIC fees/surcharges.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

That's what i grudge, i'm no banker but i'm pretty sure the money is sent electronically, a few taps on a keyboard and its gone, it's not that there are mules packed with money filled saddle bags going from bank to bank, so £10 to type 20 or so digits and hit send...i'm in the wrong job  ::)

Agreed! These bankers never have enough...

Seriously though I could make the payment for you guys if there's a gem you manage to snipe. I'll accept a PayPal transfer from you guys. I hate PayPal but I've resigned myself... Seriously feel free if you see something you like on Ricardo. I've bought most of my treasures on there :D

Cheers Syem  :SAKnight:

My family couldn't afford the Pirelli calendar or the sportsman, we had to make do with unbranded Waiters..ahhh the good old days

Day 81:

Victorinox Ambassador in silver Alox with an old PTT logo. That's the old name for the Swiss Post, stands for Post, Telephone and Telegraph. They transformed into the Swiss Post and Swisscom in 1998.

Deserves a good cleaning :D

The calendar from the same year probably wouldn't have aged as well as the knife did :D

Day 82

Victorinox Prince with SS scales and Sulzer on the front scale. (yes, another Sulzer :P)

It's in great condition even though the scales show some wear. That's why I love these SS scales; they're so smurfing durable! A smooth Alox with that much wear would be in a sorry shape.

Here's my Bartman Bantam.
About 2 minutes after taking this photo I electrocuted myself while removing an old light fitting. Gave me a nice jingly feeling down my left arm.

Serves you right for not using the Vic Electrician, those are designed to spread the jingly feeling over your whole body, not just the left arm  :tu:

23 - Sportsman, if you are in any way sporty get this knife, regardless of what sport you do this knife will take your sporting prowess to the next level
