Woodsman's pal owner's club

Just bought the last woodsman's pal at the store today, and it is a beast! This tool has been around since 1941, and has been used by woodsmen all over the world. This knife is currently made in Pottstown PA. If any of guys have one of these legends too, let's get this thread rollin'!

Thanks Sparky! I'm going to leave the toe blunt, so I have another end to hold as this makes a great draw knife too

The hooked machete used in the walking dead is a Gerber but similar shape as the original Woodmans' Pal.

I've got the military version of the WP. It has leather grip and hand guard but the blade is the same. Honestly though, I was talked into getting the military version and I wish I'd bought the regular, wooden handled model as the hand guard makes it impossible to reverse your grip to use the hook in a forward sweep. With the hand guard I can only use the hook in a back swing or a pull down motion. Honestly though I think the most useful version of the WP is probably the extended reach (long handled) model, and if I ever buy another it will most likely be that one.
