Minglaba from Myanmar (Burma)
on: March 08, 2018, 11:18:50 AM
First off. I apologize for my action for joining a GAW immediately as a first post. I now know is a smurfty way of introducing myself here in the community. With many years not joining forums anymore—I forgot the basic etiquette online. With support from Admin or whoever holds the key—please withdraw my entry in that GAW at https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,76248.msg1652237.html#msg1652237

There is no justification for being an ass. Again I apologize.  :twak: :twak: :twak:

Second, I would like to Introduce myself—I am from the Philippines but currently spending most of the time in Myanmar (Burma). A friend invited me here many months back but only now I decided to register—I had sometime at the airport earlier for a delayed flights because of Yangon fog/mist. I usually come to MTO to read reviews, advice on some knives and I learned a lot from this forum (even not registered as a member). So maybe by becoming registered I get to learn more.

Third, why I am here. I used to be active in the Linux/Open Source forums before and I like the community we had back then. I thought a similar community at MTO will be the same so I joined. I mostly use and collect Swiss Army Knives especially the old, discontinued models. I EDC them as well as some Leatherman. I work in the humanitarian sector—mostly in disaster preparedness and response.

I promise to behave and be friendly to all.

welcome mate
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Thanks all. Just sharing what I got so far collecting and using MTs, SAKs and knives..Nothing much for sure compared to others here. A number have been added in the recent weeks, some SAKs, a knife from Burma and a few LMs.

Not a bad start. Like the ones with the purple paracord fob.
