SOG S44-NCT
on: March 08, 2018, 02:58:54 PM
Hi guys!

I am kind of a nooby on the multitool expertise so please be gentle with me :ahhh

About 2 weeks ago, I received a SOG multitool; the SOG S44-NCT Pocket Powerplier.
This website helped me out and I was looking for differences with other multitools. However, I still have some questions, I hope you guys can help me out.

  • Why are SOG multitools so expensive? What makes them different from other brands?
  • I didn't know that there was a market for this stuff, is there any market for this stuff in the Netherlands?
  • what is the best way to sell my multitool? (since I am not going to use or keep it)

I hope you can help me out with these questions....

Thanks in advance!

BTW mine is for sale for a sharp price, make me an offer! :drink:

Kind regards,

Gerrit

SOG aren't really more expensive than other brands.  Their older models (which the Pocket Powerplier is - it's discontinued now) are good quality, well made and reasonably priced.

There is a market for this stuff, but maybe not for a SOG multi tool.  I've had a second hand one for sale for a six weeks or so on here with no bites so far - so I think it's probably overpriced.  The ad is here if anyone is interested: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,75637.0.html ;)

eBay is probably your best bet, although selling on here is relatively easy: understand the product, engage with your target market, price it correctly and don't spam or place stealth ads.

Thanks for your answers and tips!
I already have them on ebay!
