Card cutting, but with a twist. Normally I use the knife but today I decided to use the hook.

Day 12

Just another dashboard photo.
 I have another photo of this intersection from a friend.... except that photo was taken during Harvey evacuation 7 months ago.

I was just bored and thought the two together mignt be interesting.

I threw in a pic of some swimming deer (source unknown) too.  This neighborhood ended up around 5ft.

I've been trying to get a decent photo all day. What did I actually get.... hectic general chaos at work but offered me no chance to take a photo. So now it's 11:45 p.m. and all I got is a shot of the OHT sitting on my work bag.

Day17
Cutting down boxes to set under the fryer.
Fried chicken with a recepie from Townsteds 18c cooking channel on youtube
The recipe is said to be from 1782

I used thin sliced breast to make tenders,  Braggs apple cider vinegar and whole wheat flour for this recipe.
My marinade time was about an hour and a half 2 hours
Recipe turned out well but I think next time I'll cut the vinegar down as it overpoewered the citris.
I use the excess batter to make onion rings to go with it
~~~~
Maranade;
Lemon juice 1/2cup
Vinegar apple or malt 1/2cup
2 bayleaf
Tsp ea salt pepper
1/2 tsp clove
Green onion 1/2 cup
Maranate 3hrs
Batter:
1 1/2 cup flour
White wine till thick pancake batter consistancy
3 egg yokes
Tsp salt
Top with fried parsley
Day 18
Today I decided to walk the path of the dark side....
This is a partial roundup of the black coat portion of my collection
The first set should be all black oxide, or at least have sellers listing them as such. The kershaw stonewash and that grey coate on the GDC blade are the ones I question. Yes I do count the heat oxidation from forging on the Svord as BO since that's what it is.
That Kershaw Leak 1660ckt is new today too.
Any thoughts on this 1st pic from the BO badge judges? Isit a lvl 1 2 or 3?
The second is random paints and coatings. Theres a lot of flea market here. Most of this is just paint, some of the smaller stuff is nitro-phos or parkerized
Number 3 is the choppers, I put the recon here because I forgot I was carrying it. Is it just me or does the Glock81 look small in this crowd....
The best comes last, that Plum1917 Bolo is something I got some 27y ago and is one of my favorites. Ontario/KaBar or sombody with a military pedegree really needs to do a run of these to the origonal spec.
Side by side of the OHT vs MP600
This is the current MP600 BO that I got in an OTIS IWCS
I would have dug out my early 2k Gerber MultiLock (MP600) but I'm running short on time today.
Ps
Thanks for the BO badge Zoidberg
One of the unique features on the OHT is a threaded socket for firearms cleaning accessories. The threading doesn't fit any of half a dozen rods and adapters I tried. What it does fit is the standard threads on the actual brushes, swabs, and jags themselves. So while you cant use it in place of the T-handle for a rod it will hold a brush for detail work like BCGs , revolver cylinders and short mouse gun barrels.
On the opposite side of the threaded socket is a tab that turns much like a briefcase lock to lock the drawers in place and ensure they don't slide out while using an attachment.
