I was only thinking about a Philips the other day
I love the alox PioneerX
but would of liked to see a Philips on it  :tu:
Get Syph to do his double-openers-opposite-the-inline-philips thing on a PX.  :like:
Wspeed, just two words for you: URBAN PIONEER...

The one word I will throw out here for the topic is Spirit
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I really like my Victorinox Skipper, also due to in-line phillips :)

I thought the same thing as the OP. And I have recently come to love Alox models. So there, inspired amongst others by Syph and jaya_man, I went modding:

I used my own pivots, though (brass stock, drilled & tapped for stainless steel screw inserts).

Cheers!

Never knew I needed an inline Phillips; for decades I used the can opener blade.

I have deemed having a reasonably long phillips driver in my EDC as essential for at least the last 6 years. I first started with a modded Scientist but missed having an awl. I then modded a Passenger which I carried every day for at least a year. Later I decided that 4 layers was fine, so I modded an Explorer and replaced the scissors with a saw. That tool I EDC'd for at least three years. After having it almost fail or be almost useless and frustrating on some smallish sized phillips screws, I gave up on the inline Vic phillips driver. Frankly it just isn't very well formed and cams out too easily. I then added a Maratac screw key to my keychain and went back to 3 layers or less and added a fresnel lens to my wallet.
