New Tool This Year

Do you think Leatherman will introduce a new tool next year? I think we might see the Freestyle.

I think it has a fixed driver that rotates/flips between flat head and phillips.

There are some pics of it in the Events forum I'll go see if I can find the thread :tu:

I believe that since they are discontinuing the Core :( that they will also bring a replacement for it as well :)

I remember reading it was fixed alright...but it didn't flip.  The head was flat, but designed to also turn Phillips screws..didn't look all that good to me.

I wish that they would bring back the Supertool 200 you can't improve on perfection.

I'm hoping for a new purpose tool, either diagonal cutting head pliers, (full size) wire stripping head or c wrench head.

I'm just not sure of what new direction they can take a pliers based tool.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

I think that driver looks absolutely pants.  I obviously can't comment on it's function, but it looks like a very poor attempt at sharpening a metal stick.

A modern, well-made, adjustable wrench multitool is long overdue.
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

If they do release a new Core I would like to see a design more like the Swisstool. I'd also like the knife blades to be under 3 inches so I can carry it in more places. I just hope they don't put that small bit holder on it.

When my father was in Korea his best friend gave him one of these for his birthday.

When Dad passed away last Thanksgiving I found this among his stuff and "secured" it for myself.
It's not the original gift but that is okay.

Now it is a "shelf queen".
