That is a very large collection  :tu:
And there is nothing wrong with collecting
Everyone has different opinions on what they would collect
As long as you are happy with collecting that many MTs
Who cares what everyone else thinks  :tu: :D
Many thanks, W!

I am swimming in piles of MTs and lovin' it.

In the pics of your multis with fixed end,
big drooling and browsing time I spend  :hatsoff:

Thank you,  TP!
I am always fascinated by collection photos as well.  :iagree:

Thank you, Colt!

I try to put some thought into every tool I purchase(unlessI stumble upon a good deal), as my paychecks are laughable. Though, being single with no kids, I feel like I have money. :)

Your collection is really really cool - I love the different brands 👍
I think it’s time to collect more Gerber and SOG 😉

Thank you, CeHo!

I look forward to seeing what models of Gerber and SOG you seek out first. The Gerber Grappler is a personal favorite, but then there are the early Multi-Pliers. :ahhh Lots of hard choices down the Gerber rabbit hole.  :multi:

I like the design and the idea 👍 - my personal favorite in the Gerber/SOG universe is the SOG paratool... but the MP 650 variations are also very nice.

I look forward too - and hopefully I see your collection growing

Those are definitely great tools. The 650 is on my grail list. Maybe one day, but I hope you can find one NIB somewhere for your collection. I got lucky with an OG ParaTool in the MT.o store. Mint, but without box/papers. ParaTools, ToughTools, and BuckTools fascinate me with their unique engineering. The 650 is also a unique design. :)

I have the MP 650 (military version) and some plierheads - I hope that I can get the civilian version. But it’s hard to find them NIB and they are really pricey.

We hope the best

I'd be happy to get one that is just in 'gently used' condition at this point. There are just too few of them out there. :(

But, ya never what deals will pop up sometimes. :)

I think sometime this week I will do some update photos. :multi:

I need to do a recount anyway.  :ahhh
I try to keep a diverse collection. I'm too broke for variant/finish-color collecting, but that has definitely helped make the collection more diverse. :)

Thank you, Colt!

Indeed, the pistol case is full of Bear & Sons tools. I like them, because they are made in my home state of Alabama(on top of me loving MT collecting). Some are Craftsman branded, some Bear branded and one ToolZall branded. :)

Doing some organizing today and got together all of the "user tools"(bought second hand or specifically to EDC at work while the mint/new tools stay safe in the collection).

It's going to be fun juggling my carries for a while at work. :)

Last photo shows three tools I missed and put with the rest.

Anyone else keep their user tools separate from the collection? I've got most of mine in a cigar box in my bathroom "EDC gear drawer."  :multi:

I keep my users in a drawer in my bedroom and my non users in plastic carrying cases :tu: I do rummage through the cases sometimes and get some out to circulate for a while though ;) :D

I do something similar sometimes. If it is a collection piece, I don't take it to work if I want to carry it, so it goes with me on a day off. And, admittedly, I baby the collection pieces. :ahhh  :)

Yesterday I bought some more potential storage. :woohoo:

A very old watch maker's cabinet. Similarl to a machinist's tool chest, but without the dividers. The drawer bottoms are super strong, so I feel this will help store some of my more precious MTs on my computer desk. It needs to be refinished. I was hoping I could get the old tape and gunk off with goo-gone and gentle scrubbing, but the finish was too dry.  :(
Luckily antiques restoration is what I do for a living. :)
I will just sand and finish the top and front, as the sides look fine. I'll stain the top and front lighter than the sides for a cool two-tone mahogany/walnut color scheme. I'll try to keep the original manufacturer's emblem as well if I can.

I think it will only hold 80 tools, but that'll take a lot of stress off of the pine chest-of-drawers.
