Which model Rebar pliers best?

I am looking to buy a used Rebar to swap pliers with my Charge ALX. I notice there is at least 2 different model numbers. What’s the difference between them? Which is better (if one is)? I plan on selling the Rebar with the Charge pliers in them when project is done. :tu:

Welcome to the forums...

I’m unaware if the the plier heads are different between the rebar models... I pressume you mean standard and knifeless?

As far as I know they’re just the same. I modded my old charge which now has the rebar plier heads taken from a standard rebar...

Could just be the sheath - nylon or leather. :think:  But they're the same pliers throughout.

Outter shape is the same but they did go though a change with the gripping part of the pliers (not affecting a plier head swap though) from a more fine to a more course gripping texture :cheers: Good luck with the plier head swap :tu: BTW they have to be put under a bit of pressure to get them to line back into the holes when removed :salute:

You sure Poncho? I thought the Rebar always had the coarse version.

I was thinking the very first ones had the finer grips :think: I can't check now though as I lost my orignal one about 4 years ago or more now :oops: I also may be thinking of the Supertool 300 and I know it did go through the grip change :think: You know I don't think well at 5 in the am :pok: :D I am up but that doesn't mean I am alert :D

Either way the pliers will fit :D

I can't seem to find the thread where someone is selling the Leatherman splined tools to disassemble charge. I don't want to mess it up replacing pliers.
