Hey VICMAN,

THANK YOU!  For all of your kind words and encouragement in this Buck 110 journey!  Your enthusiasm really helped keep me excited to take pics everyday and encouraged me to use the knife as much as possible. I am sure I am not alone in that sentiment.

The 110 performed admirably to say the least. And mine is the "lesser" 420HC(I think Buck 420HC performed great). I did not have to sharpen the knife at all after putting my Lansky edge on it from the start. The few time I cut on a surface that dulled it a bit, a quick strop was all it needed to get back to where I needed it to be. I scraped, sliced, cut, carved, and chiseled with it and never felt the blade was inadequate.
I would like to know how others in this challenge feel about the Buck 420HC after 30 daya as well. :)

Thank you gerleatherberman!  :D

It was my pleasure!

The Bos heat treatment on 420 HC gets the most out of the steel and makes it excel compared to other 420 steels without the same tempering.

It was easy to maintain because you stropped it as soon as it needed it and it brought the edge right back....that is the way I do with all my knives...it is easier to maintain the edge with regular touch ups than to wait until the edge is really dull and having to sharpen....it also keeps from wearing the metal down.  :tu: :tu:

I enjoyed seeing all your pictures!
+100.
Easier to maintain, than revive from abuse.

It is time for the 110 to be put away for a while, so I can carry/test a bunch of new knives purchased during the challenge. Just a couple of simple photos to mark the occasion.  :multi:
Polished up and ready to be put away.

Thanks Zoidberg!

It has been a fun challenge! Thanks for arranging it Nix!
The 110 has grown a lot on me over the past month. It really is a nice knife, and the the ergos are top notch. I think the 110 will be used a lot more in the future.

Day 30 - traveling in NW IN land, almost, Illinois.  Non weapon zone, so 110 is in the truck.

I came to love the blade and handle size of this knife.  It maybe one of the safest knives to use yet one of the sharpest.  I already like the lock back design, being a lefty
No trouble closing without a hand/finger change.
One fall onto concrete, provided character to this almost new 110.  The blade was easy to maintain and did perform as expected each time put into service.  Pocket carried majority of the time while working and sheath carry at home.

Back to work.

Thanks Zoid for insuring badges assigned.
VICMAN, great job providing motivation.
And Nix, thanks for the vision to assemble this challenge and fine crew of participants.
I plan to shift to the LT and may continue on with Zoid and others till completion.
Been great!;)

Looks great and nice photo! It really makes me happy you're getting a lot of use out of that 110! Otherwise, it would still be living in a drawer right now. :ahhh

Do any of you with the 110 LT also happen to own (or handled...) the 112 LT (112 Bucklite)?

Just curious about the 112. Seems like a good knife but easier to EDC than the 110...
