hey mates,
if you are OK with it I'll join you this month

no sense in leaving the "2018" engraved Buck that Nix gift me spend its first year on a shelf. I'll put it through its paces for at least a month  :tu:
That way when I look back at its marks, scratches and worn 2018 number I'll remember the good memories of this year and what I got from all of you my internet friends   ::)

good to go?  :gimme: :salute:

Glad to see you join in, Sir!
The 110 is a fantastic old-school folder and well worth getting a few scratches on. Luckily, aside from the blade itself, the 110 is fairly easy to polish minor blemishes out on. :)
Pontificating particularly pious positions pertaining to polymorphic paraphernalia. G-Man.

Hard to scratch those G10 scales to begin with.
The brass however...

I love the way the brass tarnishes and scratches. But some people polish them. Can you believe that?

Glad to have you joining us, El P!

Yeah! Those smarmy fools!

Oh wait. I polished mine during  the modifications. :dwts:

And just a heads up. I may have lightly  polished the 110 that is on its' way to zoidberg.

Pulled mine out to get ready for tomorrow and the brass has purplish colors on it. I’m not used to brass, I guess that is normal??

Yes, my 6 hp saw has a left handed wrench for for the left handed threaded nut to secure my diamond saw blade when cutting loops in cement.

Its a few hours early, but Im going to bed now. So now the lovely, slim little Benchmade Proper signs off, and the chunky big Buck 110 signs on. I hope my pocket liner wont rip...  ::)

I bought some much needed jeans last week and trying to save a few bucks dollars went with the cheapest available.
Unfortunately the fifth pocket is way too shallow to safely hold the Pioneer X and I've had to leave it in the truck all week.

I don't trust that coin/watch pocket with much else than a Cadet or 58mm.

Need suggestions on what blade to carry until the mail arrives. Fixed? Folders? Big? Small? Multiples?

....something with a belt sheath/pouch?  :pok:

It may be useful to carry a OHO folder, so that you'll have that as a fresh point of reference when you start carrying the Buck 110. IIRC, you've got a Spydie PM2 or Millie. Either would make a good comparison knife. The Military a bit bigger, the PM2 a bit smaller.  :tu:

Was meant to be chainsawing today but my arm/elbow is giving me grief atm.
If I do go I'll change out the Opinel for something slightly bigger.

Nice 110, zoidberg.
J/K. The Opinel makes a decent stand-in to the 110 until the 110 arrives. :)

It is normally ok, but right now it won't support any weight without serious pain. The older I get the lighter chainsaw I want.   :D
