The Danger of Collecting.
on: March 24, 2018, 02:19:19 PM
I know this is a first world problem, and definitely my problem...but my collection is so large that sometimes I forget what I have. I must admit, it rarely happens, but when it does, I have to .

Case in point, I was a bit excited to have found a pair of Real Avid products that I was sure I didn't have at one of the local gun shops over the weekend...but when I came home, I quickly found out that I already had them in the Real Avid drawer. No worries, as both extras will be used in the range bag...so no great loss. Guess the Leatherman MUT will now have some Avid company.

Been there, done that

I try and check my doco first, but sometimes I forget to, and sometimes my doco isn't up to date.  Oh well, at worst I have an extra for trade bait  :)

No worries microbe, I wasn't offended in the least...and as far as hoarding goes...I never sell a multi-tool...and well...that is a hoarding trait.  :D

SHMBO has mentioned concerns about exceeding floor loadings more than once (so I spread them out and don't stack the large storage boxes more than 6 high any more )   :o

I do trade off some MTs every now and then, so hopefully that helps me escape classification as a full blown hoarder (or does it - I usually get one back in return ? )   ;)   ???

You say hoarding. I say I don't have to replace the carpet, because it is three layers deep under MT blister packs, knife boxes, and sheaths.

You know...I collect everything.

Yes, I have all 3 storage units against walls. So far no issues. I would hate to really find out how much they do weight though.
