It's not that it's a PST that's preventing me from getting one.. I don't get collector's editions of things, because I'm not strictly speaking, a collector.

Even having said that I think the Wingman is better than the PST, I still think the PST is a really good tool, for what it is. It has its shortcomings, but it has its advantages.

The only thing is, I have a PST, and if I wanted another one, I'd go out on ebay and get a used one cheap. In fact, thinking back, I don't remember the last time I bought a brand new (name brand) MT. Oh, wait, yeah, I got a Vic Pioneer recently.

Way overpriced, following in Vic's practice of limited editions?

Besides, I still have my 20 year old PST.  Don't forget that the pliers on this tool are useless because you can't squeeze the handles without gloves.

Now a new Fuse for $50, I'd be all over that.

$275 to collect dust  .. I use my tool , No Thank

Seriously. I use MY original Van Gogh to dig holes in my back yard!

 ;)

People who are getting it are getting it for the SAME reason people get Soldiers with every year stamp. Or who collect stamps, or coins. It is, literally, a COLLECTOR'S ITEM.

Leatherman announced on FB that "select stores" in Belgium would have them in stock soon.

I replied with a question which these "select stores" are...
They didn't even bother to answer...

Up theirs then.

I've e-mailed the Belgian Leatherman distributor about 5 times in the past, and only once got a reply ...  ::)

Anyway, I think I know which "select stores" they were talking about ...

Probably the (chain) store which is responsible for the biggest part of Leatherman sales figures in Belgium, guess that makes you "select" ...  ::)

How many stores do they have?

And NO store in my province with one on stock?!
Wtf?
Only available on order and ready for pickup in 1-2 business days.

Then again, for €299 I'll buy myself some more seized, second hand SAKs
