For sale, Leathermans and swisstool
on: March 28, 2018, 11:48:18 PM
Hello, I'm deciding to offload a bunch of Leathermans that have been in boxes for quite some time. Most of them I actually got right here years ago. I'm interested in a Mut, Signal, black style CS and black style PS.

I could be way off on prices but rules are rules. Best offers are welcome. All prices include shipping.

$50 Swisstool with ratchet (extension bot pictured but it's there)

$65 supertool 200(new) with ratchet and sheath

$40 Pulse with ratchet and sheath

$40 Mini tool

$30 PST(New/refurbished)

$15 2x micras

$25 rebar(well used) and combo sheath with holes

$55 surge(well used) with new saw/file set and newest style

$45 supertool(like new with new sheath) I used it a time or two. The file needs to be cleaned up. Has a spot of rust on the wire cutters.

I'm really hoping to trade for a signal and mut. I'm not attached to any of these. I don't mind trading multiple tools for one tool. These have been sitting in boxes for some time not being appreciated so it's time for them to go.

Some good deals there. That ST200, leather sheath, and tool adapter (as new) may bring in $100 easily on eBay. Just sayin'.  :tu:

I should've done my research sooner I guess. I'll give it a day or so and if it doesn't sell here I may try that! Someone should just trade be a used mut for it 😀

The gen 2, tool adapter is the one that sells at a high price and everybody wants because it can be use with the Wave, Charge, Rebar and many others LM tools.

But both in the picture are gen 1 right? I wonder if after grinding, will it work properly on the newer models. Anyone have a first hands experience?

The selling point of that lot is that boxy leather sheath.

Ok,
I demonstrated on my Charge.

The reshaped standard tool adapter:

Fitted:

Handles closing:

As you can see the handles don't close completely. This does not form a problem though as it's perfectly usable and stable.

The later adapter or second generation, fits xactly the same way on my Charge, the tool won't close all the way, just like the the one in your pic. However, the mount aperture on the flat area of the second generation adapter is 5/16" so it would fit properly and secure on the pliers head. On the first generation (original) adapter, the mount aperture is wider and is not stable on a Charge or Wave, it wobble side to side when you're using it. Here's is a pic of my generation 2 adapter, you can see it fit the pliers head properly:
