For a full fledged (4, 6 Seat aircraft) PPL license, right?

I’m starting to think that a license for ultralights (2 seats max) would be a better choice for me, if I were to actually go get a pilot license, in addition to being significantly cheaper.

Touring around in one of these looks very fun.  :D

Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Depends what you want to do with your license. If you just want to fly ultralights I guess that would be fine.

Most training aircraft are two- (eg C-152, PA-38)  or four-seaters (eg C-172, PA-32).

My plan for the weekend is starting to come together. :tu:  It's too far to ride over in one hit on Friday afternoon so I'll either ride from work to some intermediate campsite (near the Ridgeway) or do it in one go from home on Saturday.  Either way, I'll be arriving sometime on Saturday and staying until Monday morning.

Safest place to be is where they're aiming, I think.

On the other hand, hide behind something if they are aiming for the ground in the opposite direction.

Started pulling my camping gear together tonight. :)  Going to try my new bivvy bag for the weekend with my little tarp so I hope it's not too wet or windy.  Just need to finish putting my bike back together - it's currently only got one brake and nothing to strap any of my gear to.

Checked out my camping gear last night and got it in my trailer. Found one of the handles on the hard cover of my trailer has broken through.  Duct tape repair until after the meet then I'll get a fibre glass repair kit and do it properly.

Route sorted: S. Glos > Wotton Bassett-ish > Ridgeway (wild camp somewhere Friday night after about 55 miles) > Didcot > Long Crendon > on to the meet sometime on Saturday.

Bike is functional - sorted the brakes and bars last night.  Need to finish fettling it tonight and get everything else ready tomorrow so I can get on the road early Friday afternoon. :tu:

Heading home on Monday via Kidlington, Lechlade and Malmesbury.
