Good evening/morning Folks!


Another MTO member, namely NIX, and I have been musing about starting a “hang out”. We have some great ideas. Things are still being ironed out; but it should be very interesting. Until Nix and I finalise the last few details I cannot say much more. Suffice to say though that it will be MTO related, with a few additional spices... :)


STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER DETAILS on the official launch...and be sure that the atmosphere, tone, camaraderie will remain in line with what we all love about MTO.

Kevin is right about the origins of the thread title. A Speakeasy was an illicit club or bar during prohibition. A place, where if you knew the password......



..you could go and have a drink with a few friends...or just on your own. There was nothing 'official' about them, although often officials knew about them, some being patrons.

Some 'joints' were just a table and a couple of chairs, some were full sized bars. A classic from Butte, Montana (a hard drinking town if ever there were one):



A little talk around the water cooler or coffee pot is great, but what's a person to do after work?

Might be a good idea to stop in at the Speakeasy and speak freely. Pull up a chair, grab a beverage, and shoot the breeze with a few other rascals. No special passwords required.
