An update to Matte.

Finally found a mini utility cutter that can fit. Bought it from Aliexpress, they have the option to buy the replaceable blades so I bought them as well. Its a Workpro branded item so the quality is quite there,.

Made mostly from Aluminium I think as it is quite easy to work with.

In the end I decided to remove the thumb stud as its quite obtrusive and dangerous.. Still opens very well just by the circle cut out.

That is a great mod Sam! :salute:

Might I suggest an entry in the Showcase thread (if not already done)? https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,74592.0.html

I got an utility cutter just like that one. Pretty nice and reliable tool. What you've done with it and the Wave is

Leatherman should buy that mod patent from you.

This knife mod was relatively easy as the blade holder was rather soft. Just need to be careful on the locking part. So most of the time were spent on the fitting and finishing. The hard part was finding a suitable tool to go in. Cutting and shaping the frame was really fun. I had tons of fun doing this project.  :D :D no more sharpening to worry about.  :P

DT, I would gladly include this on that thread. Thanks!

I am a huge fan of short stubby blade.. so this applies to Matte as well.. :D This frees up half a tool bay for the additional bit adaptor. For some reason I like the wingman scissors more than the Vic's.. That Keyport tool's strap cutter is scary sharp..it even slice paper. Also works as a strong pry tool.

I am just creeping around here looking for inspiration,

That Keyport tool which you have used here, what is that off?

...I like it  :salute:
Kind regards,

Evilbay! It a add on for their keychain I believe. They have different add ons available. I bought it for around $13. But the quality is worth it imo.

You don't have a link to it by any chance, do you?

Buying something...ANYTHING...that is remotely knife related (even the small screws for a LM), are pretty much blocked by anyone in UK or Ireland because of weird Ebay policies.

But maybe, I can find it on maybe aliexpress or somewhere like that or at least get an idea about what tool it came from. I think I have seen something that looked similar to it on amazon in one of those Axe/Hammar based MT's
Kind regards,

A tiny bit of update. Some tool set changes to the original.

A re-purposing of a broken tool. From the main part of a scissor. A pretty nifty cable stripping tool. Still fine tuning the angle for optimal splicing.

Video is a tad longer than I wanted... probably will not interest non wire guys.  :pok:
