That's exactly what I thought the first time I saw one. I'm still undecided as to whether I actually want one or not. I really don't have much interest in the tool especially after seeing it, but then I do think that it's a pretty cool idea/ design, especially after seeing it lol.

That's what I thought first time I got it in my hands. And after using it for some time now I found out that it get the job done 9 out of 10 times. And there are situations, for me at least, that it is not an option to wear a big multi on my belt and the Skeletool just fits nice and stealty in my pocket.

And when I think about it, I have my wave about half time of the week with me and mostly use the pliers, phillips screwdriver and the knife(s). That is just what the Skeletool is all about! So perfect for me. But as everything in life, what fits for me does not have to fit for someone else.

Best thing about the Skeletool is how carry-able it is. :) Nobody wants to carry a big metal brick everywhere they go. :-\
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I have to admit that the first time I saw the Skeletool I wasn't impressed then I handled it and I less impressed
(it was probably the 60.00+ price tag that turned me off.)

But there is an upside to this, I had the chance to get a Skeletool for a trade and since I had extra of what he wanted I figured what the heck.

Its been about two months and I have to say I really really like this thing.  It has the basics (just the basics) and I find it quite useful without all the extra weight.

PLEASE FORGIVE ME SWISS SPIRIT.    :D :D

I think the Skeletool is just the right size...any bigger/heavier and you'd be reaching for a "regular" tool instead, and smaller/lighter you'd want to attach it to a reyring.

Leatherman classifies it as a "Full Size" tool. Which includes the Charge series.

I have a skeletool for conversation purposes. I mainly carry the side clip or a modified PST. The skeletool is nice but its a last option.

The small size didn't stop me from getting one, it was one of the selling points for me. Bare bones in a small package. The key here is to supplement it with a SAK. Your average sak will add a can opener (had to use one last night), extra blade (or two) another philips or a corkscrew etc...

I agree:   I carry a Wenger Evo Esquire, Vic Pioneer and the Skeletool and all my areas are covered.  :D

I am thinking about exchanging the Pioneer for a Farmer just so I can have a saw blade but I think that is more out of "want" then need. :-[

This is starting to sound  very personal ::)

And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169
