I think some of you are putting way too much thought into soap. It's soap. I don't like anything with a strong perfumey smell and I don't like having so many choices in the store that I have to stand in the aisle for hours and hours to pick one. So, I made it simple.
I found the same liquid soap they use on patients in nursing homes and hospitals ( hypo-allergenic, hair and skin cleanser with vitamin E and essential oils) and I had it delivered to my door for around $8 a gallon.  I bought a case of the stuff and each gallon lasts about a year so I'm good for a couple more years. :salute:

I tried that duke and it wasn’t that great, and with that enclosure you didn’t get much suds, I’m thinking it wasn’t a great buy..

Maybe see if Alan can help you find a supplier for his liquid soap?  Maybe hosing off old people isn't as manly sounding as washing yourself with a sharp cornered brick, but it would probably be more effective in the long run!

Have you considered making your own?
I havent tried my self, but I know a guy who does. Its aparently real easy, using only olive oil and lye.
I plan to try my self once I find the time.

True, but I’d have to add some perfumey stuff to give it a little something..

Now making my own sounds interesting,

Forget the perfume and add essential oils thus giving you many benefits other than just smelling perfumey.

A quick update if interested,

After a few times of using and the soap could move around a little better in that holder it produced more suds, other than that it worked fine and I had just put a new bar in, I must say I can’t believe it lasted this long, a good 3months at every other day, not bad for $7-9 depending where you buy it..

I am lucky in that I haven't found anything that is harsh on my skin. This is what I tend to use... Dove, Irish Spring, and Old Spice products.

Holy crap, stocked up?
I did like that one dove with the gritty, it cleaned nice but my skin started to react to it. The kids like those liquid soaps, the one uses a Irish springs deap action, and every time he comes out of the bathroom you can smell it 10ft away! The other kid uses something else, but if I used something like that I’d probably be through a whole bottle very quickly! I do like those old spice, not to bad of a price for a 6pk, that and the bars are nice sized, I used them for like 6yrs, I was just after something diff..

The Mrs is the same way, toilet paper is one of hers, I don’t blame her but once I counted over 105 rolls!
