New Swiss army knight reporting in
on: April 12, 2018, 04:58:18 AM
Hello there! I have been into knives and multi tools ever since my dad gave me my first Leatherman. I've been through many phases, like I'm sure most of you have, from tactical blades to fantasy blades to Leatherman so heavy they require suspenders. I've recently rediscovered the simple elegance of Saks and now carry a camper daily. I found this group looking for options to carry my sak and now I'm staying. That's it, I look forward to seeing all your great multitools!

Welcome KC

Which carry options are you considering? I love the suspension clips, but just started looking into a leather pocket caddy to make carrying a torch and pen in the same pocket less of a jumble

I got a lot of time for the camper.. Hoping to snag an old (91mm) picknicker one day.

I've been running a victorinox belt dangler for a few months now with the camper, a mini maglight and ferro rod but getting the knife out becomes a two handed affair. I've considered the leather pocket caddy but worried about the bulk of the leather. I just ordered a P7 suspension clip and a magnetic connector from Amazon. Figured I could put the magnetic connector between the dangler and camper so I could just pull it apart when needed. I'm going to try the suspension clip first though.

The connector I got is the KeySmart MagConnect from Amazon. Below is a picture on how I plan on setting it up. The magnet seems good quality but only time will tell. I started with the P7 suspension clip shown below and so far I love it. I'll probably try the magnet next week and give it a good run but so far my favorite carry method is the clip. Also the victorinox belt hanger set up I've been running for months is shown below
