Victorinox Models which don't exist...
on: April 12, 2018, 08:18:49 AM
Do you have ideas for some new knives?

I would like to have an WorkChamp TX (Tool extended)

It consists of a WorkChamp with the following tools added:

Hawkbill, electrician blade and technician screwdriver on the Backside in one layer

Hook on the backside of scissors

A bigger version of the cybertool with 5 bis in total (hex and torx, since we already have several flathead and philips screwdrivers) in one layer

Inline Awl, magnifying glass in one layer with the chisel on the backside

Marlin Spike in onel layer.

A sawless Outrider with an OH non-serrated, non-Damascus blade would be nice.

Electrician X in black alox with red shield and no keyring.  I'd buy a box full. :dd:

Bladeless Spirit.

One handed JumpMaster (blade, rescue blade, woodsaw, openers, Phillips on the back) with the addition of the file.
Maybe scissors too. With the long Phillips underneath.

TaskMaster/Jumpstarter

I'd love to see them bring back 84mm models with scissors.  Sportsman + scissors would be a sweet little knife!

They could do so much more with the Ranger series.

Why can't I have those scissors on more models, like some with an opener layer.

Where is the RangerChamp XL?  Yes it would be a beast. I'd buy it!

Farmer X.

Really, we need to start seeing the old inline 2.5mm screwdriver (some of us, i.e. me can't afford the price of a new CT), electrician, and pruner blades in place of the pen blade on 91mm models. That and the pruner/electrician layer that was on the bigger SwissChamps with both blades on smaller, affordable models.

Pruner and Electrician blades in smaller SAKs, that would be really nice. They are one of the most used implements on my XLT.

Agreed   :tu:    ..... But will never happen - Especially now we have the Delemonts!!

The really obvious one for me is the 111mm Ranger.
Their current 5 layer models both have pliers  ....  Really  ???  -  And miss either the scissors or metal file.
Drop the pliers - To me, in a chunky tool like the 111mm - 91mm pliers don't make sense.

Include both the metal file and scissors - All the tools you need - None you don't - Not too thick
What an awesome, powerful, useful tool that would be !!   :salute:

What about this one

Merge the Wine Master http://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Victorinox+Wine+Master

With the Cheese Knife: http://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Kasemesser+-+Cheese+Knife

Serrated main blade - for your bread; Cheese blade - errrrm for your cheese; Corkscrew - for your wine   ..... PERFECT

Maybe it's a WineMaster Plus or the Cheese&Wine Master       :tu:

I was thinking of building a three-layer SAK to add to a small toolkit. It would have:

Main blade, combo tool (I'd prefer the pruner or electrician blades, but they're rare in the 91mm frame, plus a Compact will probably be the basis), wood saw, metal file, wood chisel, 2.5mm screwdriver, corkscrew, and mini driver. Yellow Plus Scales. And just like the Walker/Lumberjack currently in there, an Olight i3EOS attached to the lanyard ring.

Apart from the small chisel and the combo tool (and weighing in at 4 layers of win) I give you Das Volks Messer

Mine have mostly been mentioned already:
Farmer X
84mm scissor models especially the Voyager and a Cadet X
Alox scales for the 91mm line
More models that use the combo tool, reducing the size by 1 layer.
