How can you gage the date of manufatcure from the skeletools? I have 2 that are marked pat pending and their plier heads have a large oval underneath the N in leatherman, the stainless both have straight blades. The carbon fiber ones i have have a different plier head with no oval under the N, neither have date codes stamped in the frame??

Day 3

Well, can’t say it has won me over.
In fact I think I don’t like it even more... just too small for my hands.

Anyways it’s a cool looking tool.

Such a great picture  8)

Well, at least you have given it a try again.  You've certainly have some nice examples of the Skeletool.

I am not sure how to date the Skeletool.  Hopefully someone comes along to tell us.

A few times I have carried a Skeletool with me, paired with a Style CS. Great combo with little redundancy and low weight. :tu:

Also whats with the widely differing handle spread width on these things. I have a 1st gen with combo blade and it is slim, a 2nd gen with straight blade and quite a different feeling in the hand. Also saw this on the other skeletools, early plier head, stamped pat pend has better grip than same headed plier with trademark stamp.

What happened for you to give up? Sausage remains in the blade holes? Did it pinch you?

LOL... The ergonomics I just can’t get over it. It’s a great idea I just wish it was a little bit bigger.
