Mine is making a ring on my BO surge, from the inside of the snap. Looks like the copper is rubbing onto the tool. Ugh

Maybe affix some type of material on the inner part where the snap and tool meet?  A thin piece of leather or felt?

Or duct tape :D

 :iagree:

I've had the same problem with the leather sheaths that came with the Charge TTi and AL, especially on the black alu scales on the AL.

A piece of good quality duck tape, cut in an oval shape and problem solved.

And it's been sitting in its place perfectly for almost 5 years by now  :tu:.

Thx. I'll try that. I thought it would come loose, or the adhesive would get all over the tool. I was going to send it back but I think I'll try this. I have some Gorilla package tape that's really strong. Maybe that will work.

:tu: Gorilla tape is as good if not better than duct.  Very thick which is what I like.

This happens with all Leatherman sheaths that have a snap. I have used leather in the past but might give tape a try.

I was surprised the marks rubbed right off. I put electrical tape in there for now because I was at work and we had some there.

Good news.  Glad the marks came off.  Good thing about tape is you can apply new piece as needed.
