Quote from: Chako on April 21, 2018, 08:17:46 AM...oh hell no!Hell no indeed! From a Norwegian birthday celebration on a TV show some years ago... A meter or two difference and they could have wiped out an entire cast.
Humans are some wacky creatures. I've watched BASE jumping before and WHOA. This looks insanely fun for those that dare. I was recently reading about the Dawn Wall climb and documentary. Thats also some insane fun for those that dare.
I thought this one might qualify for a big NOPE!But sincere thanks to all the crazy people who do crazy things and film them, so I can vicariously experience the thrill without the risk of death and dismemberment.

Riding bikes off cliffs? Just nope. Nope nope. meep....
That seems like an unnecessary complication to something that should have otherwise been pretty well straightforward and safe. I mean, if he had just taken a bit of a run and jumped straight off the cliff he'd have been fine- why add to that with something that really had nothing to do with the experience? When you see movie stuntmen getting ready for something they take as many variables out of the equation as possible so that way there's a lot less that could go wrong. I am in agreement with those guys when they that you can do stupid things, as long as you don't do them stupidly. And, quite honestly, I am pretty sure I don't want a surgeon working on me that would even consider doing something that dumb."For today's surgery, I will perform it while spinning on a trapeze while my scrubs are on fire!"No thanks.... I'll just keep my ruptured hernia, thanks.....Def
Still, I have wondered why the military hasn't tested any wingsuit special forces paratroops, I mean you could deploy them like 50 km away from the target...
