May I suggest a hammer?

Otherwise, looks pretty nice.

Hey thanks, i carried a hammer but I don’t need it... but I’m thinking of a return of the hammer - it’s a useful (multi)tool

Hey CeHo, if you want a hammer type tool, but don't want to sacrifice too much weight, what about a Cat's Paw? I carry one sometimes if I don't want the weight of a claw hammer - bang wise, they're about the same as a cross-peen hammer... but you still get the claw.

Hey, thank you for your reply. Can you say something about the quality?

The only cat's paw I've used was a Stanley Fatmax, which are inexpensive enough to bang around and of pretty decent quality.

I would also like to mention that my OCD wishes me to comment on the fact that your knife is backwards in its sheath... does it matter? Nope, but i noticed anyway... carry on 🖒

The quality varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. This type of tool's called a Cats Paw -  what you're asking is a bit like asking what quality a ball peen hammer is - it depends who's making them.

Mind you, having said that the Japanese use and make a lot of them and as you might expect they tend to be made to a high standard. The one I use most is a Stanley one, while I don't generally rate Stanley tools that much, this one's alright and the fit n finish is pretty good for a one piece tool.

Have a google for cats Paw Tool and you'll see lots of different types and manufacturers.

Is that the one that's massive? The ones I'm on about are about 8" to 10" at most.

Its not massive, but it's bigger than youre looking for. Probably about 12 to 15 inches if memory serves.

Again I will throw in for the Crate Hammer!
Super handy and easy on the hand for many, many uses.
Especially in an Urban setting.

Great tool - I love how the hammer end doubles as a handle.  :salute:
