I've fairly recently come to appreciate the Whittlers and their different patterns.

Reason for the name is the main blade uses both backsprings.

I have to say that is a pattern I've ignored but I don't know why. It's not that removed from a stockman and I carried one of those for years.  :like: that Splitback.

I don´t have any whittlers, but there´s been a Cigar Whittler on my wish list for ages now. They were done by Klaas IIRC.

A long line tang stamp with no pins except the center pin on the derlin covers. Must be a transitional 72. I got it dirt cheap a while back and have been working on its spring blade fit. Which a lot of later Camillus and Schrade knives seem to have.

Sure enough, under the name Canal Street Cutlery Co-op.  I'm glad you said something.  I wasn't aware.

Some more Camillus 72. Rare Black bone from the 90's. It looks more dark brown than black since its seen some pocket time. Next one is a early delrin with pinned covers. Last one is a early long line with black composite covers.
The blade still has the deep clip point of the early ones.
