Green with envy
on: May 06, 2018, 09:08:26 AM
A long time ago Fuji Film had ads claiming their film would capture over 1 million shades of green. This was before the digital age of course, but I guess current computer screens are equally capable. These ads impressed me not a little, green being my favorite color.

That´s why I´m starting a new thread for showing off knives and tools with green handles. Trads, tacticools, SAKs and multitools, if they have green handles they belong in here! Let´s see them!

I´ll start with my Protech TR-1. A Protech auto is way too expensive for EDC. Not to mention illegal, probably. But I like the strong spring action, and the green anodized aircraft aluminium. This is #16 of 100 made exclusively for Böker.

It just occurred to me that this thread shouldn´t be in the Edged Tools subforum. The General Tools Discussion would be a better place, or maybe The Shutter Shop.

Mods, if you please?

I like these scales, Nick. Would you have an extra couple that you don´t need?

Yes, I do.
However, the extra scales I have don't have the Vic logo or the BP logo at the back for some reason.
They are completely blank, even though they are on a SAK with the exact same toolset...
Beats me what that's all about

So if you don't mind the lack of logo's, they're yours.

Disclaimer: they do need a polish...

And I have the exact same scales with logos, but both sides are missing a corner :(

I ´m not worrying about the logos too much. But I realized that these have cutouts for the corkscrew or Phillips, right? They wouldn´t fit on my Walker.

They do...

For a Walker I only have red nylon scales.

Might try to repair the damaged ones with logo by using pieces of the intact ones without.

So many projects to go ::)

Nice. I´m familiar with the Emerson wave of course, but never had a knife with it.
Do you actually use it? Doesn´t it shred your pocket to tatters?

No, and it does deploy as easily as designed.  If you pull straight up and out no wave catch.
