How to tell red LED from white, tip inside
« on: May 23, 2018, 12:18:16 AM »
You all most likely know this and I've missed the thread in my search, but I'm always wondering if something is red or white LED.  If there isn't a battery the sellers aren't able to tell me.
So I photographed the fronts and there's a distinct difference, white clear one on the left is the red LED.

So take your guess on which one is the red LED of these two:

If you guessed the one on the right, you're right!  Clear is red and yellowish is the white LED.

It seemed like clear should be white to me too, but it's the yellow LED that throws white light, who knew .
