Hey all! That day finally came!!! Just graduated yesterday, and got a few days leave before reporting. I can finally post again. the blade depravation was intense . I feels so good to be able to pack my blades again. Here's a post to kick things off again. It's good to be back!
Congratulations on graduating Noah! Fitting name for a man of the water. I'm not far from your station, so if you need anything, just speak up
Big congratulations Spartan Great to see you back on here and good luck with this new chapter in your life
Glad to see you back posting Noah.Did you go through training at San Diego? I went through the Great Lakes Training Center but that was a LONG time ago(1964). Will you be attending an A school now and what specialty? I was a," BB stacker" in the old slang. Good luck in you endeavors.
Congratulations Looking forward to the sea pictures
Welcome back Noah, we missed you around here ! Well done, we are all proud of you.

Noah, have a question regarding CG basic training. Did you have to sew your pockets shut so you would not slip your hands into pockets while standing. A co-worker’s sons are Navy and he said he had to and did not realize how many times he did access his pockets. They at Great Lakes training. Just curious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We didn't have to do that, but don't give them any Ideas! I'm suprised they didn't make us do that, as it's a very hard habit to break, especially when your'e used to having a trusty SAK or TRAD in your pocket. That was the hardest part for me, not having my knife for 8 weeks straight. It was driving me crazy!

I would really find it hard to go 8 weeks without a pocket knife.....I have carried a pocket knife every day since I was 8 years old.
