My new victorinox knives
on: May 13, 2018, 02:35:13 AM
Notice I said victorinox and not SAK.

Found a good deal on eBay for the 15 piece Swiss classic kitchen knife set. Initial impressions are positive. Good fit and finish, nice weight. Handle geometries feel good. Plus the fibrox handles should be pretty low maintenance.

Looking forward to giving them some mileage.

I bought some Wenger kitchen knives and they are fantastic - terrifyingly sharp, it must be said. If the Victorinox knives are anywhere near as good (and you know they will be!) these should be all the kitchen knives you need for a couple of decades at least!

That's my hope! We have a forged faberware set that we've had for 11 years. In theory the forged should be better, but the steel seems pretty soft. They seem to dull very quickly. I'm hopeful the victorinox set is better in that regard

Congrats! I love kitchen knives and Victorinox makes some good ones at a very reasonable price for the quality you are getting.  :tu:
