Great news! To celebrate that we're bezzies I asked my neighbour Darren Mattingly to do me a FuzzBucket tattoo - he only charged me twenty quid which is what I owed him anyway for worming his dog Banjo Bill. I'm quids in!

What do you think Fuzzbert? You could get one done of me!

Oh... ha ha ha!... No seriously Mags behave, we could literally be on the cusp of greatness here! We're half way there already - you, me at the front obviously as the attractive ones (you'd be doing all the writing and stuff of course with your degree in astrology, while I fanny about strutting poses etc...), we just need Roger Moore Taylor and the quite socially awkward one!  :2tu:

Donald.  I'm happy for you to be co-front with Fuzzy Mercury, but as we're All Best friends we have to get tattoos of each other.  Do you have that commitment?

Also because of the tattoos could we be called Fuzzy Mercury and the Tattooed Leather Men?

Nope - gotta be proper ones done by my neighbour Darren Mattingly. He's the best tattooist in our street.

Pabs, I've got you down as the drummer... did you not get the memo? Mags is in charge of that stuff - I haven't got time for that sort of thing - if he denies it he's just being difficult. You're going to have to peroxide your hair though... sorry, but it's in the contract... and a tattoo...

If you want to be really cool you need to have one of the limited edition ones with "tribute to ..."  on the blade or at least a titanium one, I hear.....

I received the Titanium version from Ron. I had the Zytel one, but since it was a commemorative version I did not want to use it .

I will use the titanium one.

The titanium has the secondary lock too, but it is not automatic (older model? newer?) The automatic has the red dot on the lever. I did a few tests, which I generally do with knives destined to be users.

The linerlock can not be defeated  if you try to close the knife by using both hands - however, a spine whack, with not a huge force, gentle, will defeat it so the secondary lock seems to be necessary for this knife. With the secondary lock engaged it can not be made to close in this manner - I assume the whack shakes the blade, making th lock move.

Under normal use it should be fine with just the linerlock

The Titanium one is thinner an 11g lighter (96g)

They are both pretty

The secondary lock on this M16 is known as LAWKS -- Lake and Walker Knife Safety.
Auto-LAWKS, with the red dot, became the standard lock on M16s , M21s, and a few others, some years later.

So I guess the M16-Ti is an early one.

I have a lake and walker with that lock.
I am surprised by how mint the T is. I expected it to be more used.

It must have been a collector's item in a past life.
