Another MP600 identification please..
on: May 17, 2018, 07:36:28 PM
Recently I received a needle nose MP600 that I have not seen before. I know there are countless variants. Hoping someone can shed some light on this.

Its a earlier model I believe. I received it as "used" but it appears to be unused and unadulterated. I believe no tools were switched out or replace.. at least no sign that indicate it.

I will just list the not so common stuffs. File stamped with SIMONDS USA, Scissors etched with FISKARS, theres a awl, the philips screwdriver does not have a nail nick.

The more interesting part.. The other side of the file is a diamond file. I know the fisherman's version have this but theres a sharpening groove on them.

Anyone know this specific model, rough time period or how common is this? I have a rather big bunch of MP, this is the first...

Hard to see without all the tools opened... I’m guessing Multi Lock Scout?

My first Gerber MT happens to be a similar model... But without any stamping on the file and no fiscars labeled on the scissors...

For a few months now, I replaced the lanyard attachment with the wood saw from a Diesel...

Yes. Without doubt that's the model. I think it could be a earlier version. Ironically, when I Google the name, I was brought back to this forum....

This site is amazing......

I was lucky to get mine... The seller advertised it as an MP600 Basic... add the saw to it and it has complete tools... but that’s just me...
