This isn't about some scandal involving the "Maillot Jaune" even though it's nearly Tour de France time and I'm a keen cyclist. No, there's a Sportsman even closer to my affections. Yes, I'm talking 84mm. Now, I've never done a scale change until today. Never even thought about it to be honest. Leave that stuff to the experts etc.
But I do have an affection for custard and all things custard related like the Portuguese and their Pasteis de Nata. And I do like the oft overlooked 84mm Sportsman. But I was quite content. I had a nice red Sportsman and I wasn't looking for any jaunty new scales. I wasn't looking for scale changing experience.
Well, that's what I was doing .... but clearly El Corkscrew had a much better idea !
To keep up with the Tour de France theme I'll take this opportunity then to say "Chapeau" to my good friend Dan for gifting me some shiny new yellow scales for my Sportsman and nudging me over the finish line to try a scale change with a youtube clip and a few words of encouragement.
So, thank you Dan, I'm chuffed to bits !
