Leatherman over the Phillips Bit driver
on: May 19, 2018, 01:38:23 PM
All I'm really looking for is the driver itself as I already have 100's of bits.  :ahhh
I've been looking on EVILbay and to me $30 to $60 and I get stuck with a case and 2d bits I really don't need just seems exceptionaly EVIL. :twak: :twak:
That brings me here, Hoping some one here has one just collecting dust that they would be willing to part with at a more reasonable rate.
Anybody willing to help a fellow out?  :pok: :pok:

Fair question Fuzzy

This is the one
I have an OG Wave, a Rebar on the way from zxroa1 and have seen it mentioned this works with the Vic Spirit so I figured it's about time I started to check into getting one.  Like I said though with so many bits already I realy don't have to have the case and 2d bits,  they would most likey just collect dust, (or is that RUST- they are Leatherman anyway).

I learned via other members that a off brand multi with bits have an adapter the fit the rebar’s and ST Phillips just fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N4AUUBG/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1526735647&sr=8-13&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=ganzo+multitool

I found one for about $6 at a Menards.

LC,
Can you tell ne if it fits well with the Vic Spirit also.  I have read in more than one place that the Leatherman adaptor dose play nice with the Spirit.

Can not confirm with the Swisstool as I do not have one.

It does fit very well on the Rebar and ST300.  Go $6 bucks that is why I have it.

I own multiple Rebars, 2 are traveling with me, 1 in suit case w/LM adapter. The other in carry bag along with dedicated tools.

Then the other 2 are near these $6 adapters and bits at homestead.  As is the ST300.

Yes the Leatherman Removable Bit Driver will fit a Victorinox SwissTool or Spirit.
However I personally wouldn't describe it as 'play nice' nor would I bother carrying that combo for daily use.

I use a Gerber one with the ST300.  And you can shove a serious amount of stuff in the sheath that comes with it. Mine has held together well, though I recently did put a snap in to supplement the aging Velcro.  In fact, I've used the sheath more than the tool kit.

931012 Leatherman bit kit is sold via several outlets. $18 was the least expensive.

I only have the one LM adapter and it travels with the Rebar or ST300 along with full set of 2D bits.  Most compact carry option.

I use the other adapter (w/low cost multi-tool) and bit kit provides option for my other 3D bits. Cost for that is under $8 or less.

I wish i could help, but have never found these reduced allowing to have an extra, reason for the other option.
