See, thanks to collectors like Chako, CeHo and many others...this thread will never die. There are very many of us who love to “cherish” some samples of our beloved tools. The remainder gets used daily. The cherish/users ratio is up to the collector. :)

For me, that destroys the “hoarding” argument and nulls it out! They are well worth cherishing, all of the TLC and the displaying. :)
And of course, having a duplicate for EDC is also extremely OKAY. After all, a tool was designed to be used and abused unless...:)

I don't even remember what is in my shelf queen collection, but I know there are Swisstools, Spirits, Farmers, MP600s, PSTs, and all manner of SAKs and folders.  But they are literally shelf queens.  This is the NIB Special Reserve Collection, and not part of my primary hoard of EDC toys.
