Nice one.  :tu:

More pics please!!

Here you go

This is the only SAK I know off with a manufacturing defect. None of the other 50 had it. None of the other marlin spike model has it. Can you spot it?

The pitting in the spike?

Or the open space between the spike and the scale?
The coutour is correct, but doesn't fit

Good spot. The scale is according to specs. The spike itself is machined a few mm of where it is meeting the cutout on the pivot side.

Victorinox factory machining errors are extremely rare, and besides this example, I never seen any other SAK with a tool that is not up to standard.

Wow it's like the rare copy of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" where the word "Philospher" is misspelled on the back cover so it's now worth millions....
(Though of course Harry Potter books are useless for mending sails, doing tongue piercings etc.)

Thanks Nick!

It’s a special run from a german seller - I’m not sure... but I don’t think that’s handmade...

Some amazing  SAKs here guys - especially CeHo - Thanks for all the posts and piccies everyone

Loved the 'paperweight' SAK - I guess it could double up as a desk knife/letter-opener!
Love the tartan too - My wee bit o' Scottish blood makes me want one of those.

Those MoP SAKs were beautiiful. Do you think they were designed to be carried? How tough is MoP?  ???
I guess they could be intended to be a gentleman's or lady's knives.

But not really a SwissChamp in MoP - Must be designed to be a Shelf Queen - Eh?

Many thanks to you Huntsman

I think the mother of pearl SAK doesn’t know exactly what they were designed for  ;)

On the one hand they are beautiful Shelf Queens. On the other hand they are gentleman's or lady's knives.

One guy here in Germany is carrying a mop executive for years. And everybody knows that he is using this knife and everybody is asking him different questions about the knife because the knife is so beautiful.

The Swiss Champ is only a Shelf Queen  :D
