Noooooo!

When looking at Syem's pics, I noticed a 1940 Soldier so I asked him to keep an eye out for one of those on top of my birth year.

When he found both, I was only able to choose 1 budget wise... and went with the most historical one...

There's already a picture of it from 3 days ago... There's only one 1908 model in the group

I meant in its new environment, or maybe accompanied by some of the new owner's other SAK's...

Got home, had dinner and started the restoration work.
Cleaning, polishing, oiling, sharpening...
The works!

Here it is next to it's 10 year younger brother:

Thanks for the updates guys! I'm glad they arrived safely!

2 more packages should find their new respective homes very soon.

Another 3 are still far from home (or their tracking hasn't been updated). I'm guessing they're still somewhere in transit between Europe and the other side of the earth :P.

Thanks Syem. I am checking tracking always. It takes 4 days from Europe to my side of the planet then customs clearing the domestic sorting. I will get them probably by the time I am back home from my Timor Leste mission. Obrigado!

Nice!! :like: :like:

Weekend's almost over and I couldn't find the time to give it some TLC, to turn it into a shelfie queen...
I was thinking about the hollow pin and the possibility to add a bail to it. The question is, where would one get a bail?

Thanks to the courtesy of Sir Syem, on Thursday I received a beautiful knife in excellent condition. (In the photo it is on the left, side by side with its older brother.)

I am happy. Thank you, Sir Syem for your great project! :hatsoff:

:woohoo:

The long awaited package from Geneve has finally arrived... Thank you soo much again Syem for your efforts... :SAKnight:

The year has no significance to me... But it sure is the first Soldier/Soldat pre-1961 model I now have... :woohoo:

Cleaned it and was able to restore the snap on all tools. Took the time to polish it too... Just debating whether to sharpen it or leave it as is as it won’t be a user...

Wow Jaya, that's soooo..... old
It's in good shape though (hope Pfrsantos doesn't chime in to this comment  :D

Personally I would sharpen it.
It just feels good to have a tool in working condition.

Great pics btw  :tu:

Hahaha..I am not a young fellow anymore. This one's for my youngest son. Will gift this to him when he reaches at the right age. Here is the BYSAKs family picture (the 2013 is not a BYSAK though). Everybody in the family is and will be carrying their BYSAKs in time, my salute to the great Swiss Army Knife.  :salute:
