Wave pocket clip
on: May 23, 2018, 02:55:19 AM
Read on one of the threads here someone was talking about how the pocket clip for the latest generation Wave is much improved over the old one.

Is this true and whats the story?

I have no knowledge of the old one I guess. But the new(er) one is great. Really no qualms at all with it.

the clip is very good, I agree, but the mounting (assembly) not so good.  :P

The Surge and Wave's clip on mine tend to angle and move a lot, often resulting in less-than-perfect alineation of the clip with the tool and floppy positioning in the pocket.
Here's a pic of what I mean with "angled clip". If there wa a n older model of clip I would like to know if it had these problems too  ???

Last year it cut a cake on my friend's Birthday Party, he knows I have a love for Cold Steel and likes my XL folders (5-6 inch)  :mn:, but he had never seen this one (7 inch) and his face when I pulled it out was priceless  :D

The clip on the Wave is perfect, the fact that you can remove or install very easy is great, don't know if there's like and old and newer version!
Enjoy!

Wish I knew where I read the thing about the new Wave clip being better.

I remember my old Wave clip being floppy and sideways.

Hmm.

I like my pocket clip.

It adds another dimension to one of the best tools Leatherman has ever made.
