Help me choose a MT sheath!
on: May 23, 2018, 04:14:07 PM
I'm in the market for a new sheath and I'm torn between two and would like some opinions. I own a LM Wave and have the bit kit as well. I'm looking at a custom sheath from Nay's custom leather, I love the style and look of it, but the one in my price range doesn't have a spot for the bits. I'm also looking at a Skinth L shield, I can carry my bits and a few other things, but I'm worried it will be too big and bulky on my hip. Help! Lol

In my limited experience Skinths do not add noticeable bulk to the tools they contain. I have one XL shield each for a ST300 (my VX variant) and a Surge (my R variant), each with spare file/saw blade and one bit card plus an extender and adapter. An L sounds about right for a Wave with one bit card and a few bits and bobs besides, but maybe there are others around who can confirm or deny this. There is about 6 weeks' worth of lead time before they ship.
Cheers!

The L shield is far from bulky.
You'll hardly notice it's there.

Sometimes I come home and tap my hip to check I didn't lose it throughout the day.

Custom made to your specifications.

It all depends on what you want engraved on it. Colour stitching. For what size tool and if you want room for the bit extender.
Send me a Pm with requirements.

Thanks but I decided on a Skinth. Seems like it will work with what I need, it looks great and it's made in Canada :)
