Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted. I think that has 'sealed the deal' for me now.Is the adaptor in your photo a Gerber one or have you had the same idea as myself? I was almost expecting that Gerber would have made it a non-standard size to prevent people doing that. Thanks again.
hope you enojy the 600, it's an excellent tool. Also know that the Leatherman adaptor for Rebar and ST300 fits the Gerber MPs' Phillips, as does the Ganzo adapter
Magnetus - I was thinking of doing something similar with the magnet too. I may put some photos up - how long do you chaps watch a page like this, as it might be a couple of weeks until I get my hands on it.

Pics showing the bit holder on the philips shaft, and the magnet is a tiny disc (5mm x 2mm) that fits snugly - it remains there with no glue and provides a solid hold.

I had that attachment for years in my toolbox, I couldn't find a use for it and threw it away few weeks ago!
I've now got an MP600. Had it for a couple of days now and am pretty happy with it. There does seem to be a reasonable amount of play in the pliers when in the locked position, perhaps there is a way to tune this? I also will have to try and get the correct socket as the one I have currently is too large to fit on the Philips driver.
